(2012) Russian space № 39 Find life on Ganymede

The head of the Russian Space Agency said that in 2022, within the framework of the Laplace-P project, an expedition of the spacecraft to the Jupiter satellite Ganymede is planned.

The purpose of the flight is the search for life on this space object.

Oleg Lvovich Kuskov, head of the V.I. Vernadsky GEOCHI Laboratory, tells about what information we already have on Ganymede, why it is necessary to study satellites of planets far from the Sun, such as the giant planets Jupiter and Saturn, and what primary questions this mission should answer.
