The physics of the effects of solar and lunar eclipses on our planet is of special scientific interest not only for astronomers and geographers, but also for biologists and physicians.

There is a theory that in the distant future earthlings will lose the opportunity to observe these celestial phenomena, because the Moon is slowly moving away from the Earth.
