Cosmonautics. Baikonur: a step into the future. (2017)

Baikonur celebrates its birthday in June.

Initially, the object was conceived by the military, however, chief designer Sergei Korolev was able to combine the interests of the Ministry of Defense and dreams of space flights.

According to experts, in order for the world's first and largest cosmodrome to have not only a legendary past, but also a glorious future, it is necessary to develop as many joint projects as possible.

Alexey Leonov, Vladimir Yaropolov, Leonid Kadenyuk, Rano Juraeva, Sergey Krikalev, Talgat Musabayev recall the history of the cosmodrome and flights from the era of Yuri Gagarin to the present day.

S.P. Korolev is a Soviet scientist, design engineer, general designer of the rocket and space industry of the USSR, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, twice Hero of Socialist Labor.
Leonov A.A. - Soviet pilot-cosmonaut, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, twice Hero of the Soviet Union.
Tereshkova V.V. is the world's first female cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union, retired Major General, public and political figure.
Yaropolov V.I. - military scientist, test engineer of spacecraft, Candidate of Technical Sciences, professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, chief researcher of the Department of the Gagarin Central Research Center.
Kadenyuk L.K. - Candidate of Technical Sciences, pilot-cosmonaut, tester of reusable space systems.
Juraeva R.F. - Candidate of Technical Sciences, General Director of FSUE "CENKI".
Krikalev S.K. is an aviation athlete, cosmonaut, development engineer, candidate of Psychological Sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after K.E.Tsiolkovsky.
