The film is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Russian artist VDPolenov.
The film tells about the work and social activities VDPolenov artist, on a large series of paintings of his "Life of Christ" and the national theater built Polenov.
The film was filming sledujushie: painting in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum-Estate Polenovo on the Oka, the interiors of rooms, the exhibits in the house Polenova and in the workshop, paintings from the series "From the Life of Christ," Polenova landscapes, scenery Polenova to folk theater, the church in the manor Abramtzevo near Moscow, the church in the village Strahovo, built at the expense of the artist.
