Red Square, in front of the stands built military parade participants.

Candidate member of the Politburo, the Soviet Defense Minister D.T.Yazov receives report from the parade commander, Army General K.A.Kochetova, toured the troops, congratulated the soldiers on the 71st anniversary of the Great October Revolution.

On the podium of the Mausoleum members of the Politburo headed by the General Secretary of the CPSU, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev, Soviet military leaders.

Before the podium are the troops of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
