The IV All-Russian Youth Space Festival "Cosmofest Vostochny" was held in Blagoveshchensk, it was attended by more than 1,500 schoolchildren and students of the Amur Region, regions of Russia and abroad.

The festival participants visited the Vostochny cosmodrome and the city of Tsiolkovsky, met with cosmonauts and creators of rocket technology.

Traditionally, guests and participants of the festival, as well as students of specialized space classes of the city laid flowers at the busts of Gagarin and Tsiolkovsky.

This year, the festival has expanded its boundaries and was open not only to schoolchildren and students, but also to everyone.

The story starred a student of Tanchu Polytechnic University (Harbin, China), a student of Amur State University Natalia Gavrilenko, Alexander Alexandrov, Dmitry Shishkin, Mark Serov.

A seminar dedicated to the memory of Boris Smirnov was held at VGIK. Friends and colleagues called him the first space operator, although he had never been in space.

But Boris Alekseevich became, in the literal sense of the word, a chronicler of the country's space history.

At the age of 17, he got a job at the film laboratory at the aviation military base (the current CPC) and it was he who became the person who not only filmed the first detachment of future cosmonauts, but also taught them the technique of film and photography.

In the preparation of the plot, chronicle footage from different years was used, including fragments of an interview with Boris Smirnov in 2012.
